ZWINGLE, Iowa - Carroll D. "Andy" Anderson, 62, of Zwingle, died at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 1997, at Mercy Health Center St. Joseph's Unit, Dubuque, as the result of injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident near Zwingle.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., where friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, where military rites will be accorded by the American Legion Post 6, of Dubuque.

Mr. Anderson worked at John Deere Dubuque Works for a number of years. He then installed chain link fencing for 13 years and later was employed as a body and frame machinist at A & R's Auto & Frame.

He was born on Jan. 7, 1935, in Iowa County, Wis., son of William H. and Gladys L. (Klosterman) Anderson. He married Ronda Wagner on Aug. 18, 1978.

He served with the Air Force for five years. He was an avid stock car racing enthusiast.

Surviving are his wife, Ronda Metcalf Anderson, of Zwingle; his children, Renee J. Anderson, Roger D. Anderson and Randy J. Metcalf, all at home, Debbie A. Anderson, Donna Timmerman, and Russell Anderson, all of Gilbert, Ariz., and Tammy Anderson and Lynn Anderson, both of La Crosse, Wis.; his mother, Gladys Anderson, of Platteville, Wis.; three sisters, Wilma Anderson, of South Carolina, Marlene (Royce) Messling, of Deerfield, Ill., and Loa Nelson, of River Falls, Wis.; and three brothers, Elwood Anderson, of Burley, Idaho, Marshall (Berdetta) Anderson, of Platteville, and Laurel (Pat) Anderson, of Kenosha, Wis.

He was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Anderson, on Aug. 8, 1984.
