Harold R. Albrecht, 87, of Ennoble Manor Care Center, formerly of 476 Primrose St., died at 4:45 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, 1998, at the care center.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Locust Street Funeral Home, 1145 Locust St., where friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, where military rites will be accorded by the American Legion Post 6 of Dubuque.
Mr. Albrecht worked at Interstate Power Co. for 37 years, retiring in 1976.
He was born on July 14, 1911, in Anamoose, N.D., son of Frederick and Amanda Albrecht. He married Ruth Mosby on Feb. 14, 1942, in Elgin, Iowa.
He graduated from the University of North Dakota, Fargo, and was a World War II Navy veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post 6 of Dubuque and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.
Surviving are two sons, Ron (Connie) Albrecht, of Dubuque, and James (Barbara) Albrecht, of Lenexa, Kan.; three grandchildren, Kristin, Kevin and Tammy; and two brothers, Erich Albrecht, of Fargo, and Fritz Albrecht, of Rockford, Ill.
A Harold Albrecht Memorial Fund has been established.
