Mrs. Cecelia Courtney
Mrs Cecelia Lynch Courtney of 2348 Jackson street, died unexpectedly at her home Friday noon after an illness of five months. She was the widow of Daniel Courtney.
Friends may call at the Hoffmann mortuary. Services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday from there to St. Patrick’s church. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
Mrs. Courtney was born about 85 years ago in Dubuque and has lived here all her life. She was a member of the Catholic church, attended St. Patrick’s parish, and belonged to the Rosary society of St. Columbkille and the Sacred Heart league.
Surviving are one niece, Mrs. Laurence (Marian Lynch) Reifstack, of Mechantsville, N. J.; and three nephews, John J. Lynch, of St. Louis, Mo., George T. Lynch, of Burlington, Ia., and Arnold W. Lynch, of Dubuque. She was preceded by her husband; one daughter, Maldred; one sister, Sarah Lynch; and two brothers, William and James T. Lynch.
