Miss Courtney Obeys Summons

The death of Miss Jane J. Courtney occurred Sunday morning at 10 o’clock at the home of her brother Daniel Courtney, 791 Grandview avenue. Her last illness was of two months duration.
The deceased was 66 years old, was born in Dubuque and had made this city her home during her entire lifetime. She was a member of a pioneer Dubuque family.

Surviving her loss are one sister, Mrs. Thomas Nevins of Dubuque, six brothers, George, Daniel, Robert, all of Dubuque, Edward of Belmond, Ia., William of Waterloo, Ia., and John of St. Louis.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning from the residence of her brother Daniel Courtney, 791 Grandview avenue, to St. Columbkille’s (?) church at 9 o’clock. Burial will be made in Mt. Olivet cemetery. (Obit, Dubuque newspaper, March 22, 1921)
