Services for Mrs. Harlan (Alma) Riegler, 83, of Manor Care Nursing Center, formerly of 12268 Circle Ridge Road, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Sherrill, Iowa.

Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 1:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Egelhof-Casper-Strueber Funeral Home, 1145 Locust St.

Mrs. Riegler was a homemaker and an avid gardener.

She was born on Nov. 27, 1912, in Sherrill, daughter of William and Matilda (Spoerl) Theviot. She died at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 1996, at the nursing center.

She was secretary of the Ladies Aid Society of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Sherrill.

Surviving are a son, Earl (Margaret) Riegler, of Sherrill; a daughter, Janet (Neil) Loney, of Dallas, Texas; five grandsons, Craig and Jeffrey Riegler and Chad, Todd and Kent Loney; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lydia Ebert, of Elizabeth, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan Riegler, in 1989; her parents; a sister; and a brother.

An Alma Riegler Memorial Fund has been established.
