FARLEY, Iowa - John M. "Red" Duggan, 78, of 307 Second Ave., Farley, died Friday afternoon, May 23, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque.

Services for Jack will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, at St. Clement's Catholic Church, Bankston, with the Rev. Michael Schueller presiding. Burial will be held in St. Clement's Cemetery, Bankston, where military rites will be accorded by Farley American Legion Post 656. Friends and relatives of Jack may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, at Reiff Funeral Home, Farley.

Jack was born on July 1, 1935, in Bankston, son of Henry and Magdalena "Mary" (Thielen) Duggan. He was a graduate of St. Clement's School in Bankston. He farmed in the rural Bankston area.

Jack was a Army veteran, stationed in Korea.

He was a member of St. Clement's Parish in Bankston.

He is survived by a sister, Mae (Donald) Elgin, of Worthington; two brothers, Donald Duggan and William (Jane) Duggan, both of Dubuque; two brothers-in-law, Eugene Ahmann and Bill Weber, both of Dubuque; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Anne Weber and Helen Ahmann; and a sister-in-law, Jeanne Duggan.

Memorials for Jack may be given to St. Clement's Parish in Bankston (Epworth), Iowa.
