BANKSTON, Iowa - John Francis Muller, 71, formerly of Bankston, died at 5:45 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, at Sunnycrest Manor, Dubuque.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Clement's Catholic Church, Bankston, with the Rev. Dennis Cain officiating. Burial will be in St. Clement's Cemetery, Bankston. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Reiff Funeral Home, Farley, where there will be a wake service at 4:30 p.m., and a Knights of Columbus rosary at 7 p.m.

Mr. Muller was employed as a farm hand in the rural Bankston area.

He was born on May 17, 1935, in Bankston, a triplet son of George F. and Marcella M. (Hoefer) Muller.

He received his education at the former St. Clement's School in Bankston.

He was a member of St. Clement's Parish in Bankston and the Farley Knights of Columbus Council 2001.

John enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching sports on TV. He loved giving the nurses and staff a hard time at Sunnycrest.

Surviving are his triplet sisters, Jean (Marvin) Kramer and Joan (Gerald) Gaul, both of Farley; a younger sister, Mary Ann (Loras) Kramer, of Epworth; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews, who he enjoyed so much.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a nephew, Brian J. Kramer.

A John F. Muller Memorial Fund has been established.
