Miss Frances M. Burns, 86, of Heritage Manor, formerly of 1085 Vernon St., died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000, at Heritage Manor.

Services will be at 8:30 a.m. Monday at Nativity Catholic Church. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery, New Melleray, rural Peosta, Iowa. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hoffmann-Schneider Funeral Home, 1640 Main St., where there will be a wake service at 4:30 p.m.

She was born on Jan. 19, 1914, in Peosta, daughter of John F. and Johanna (Houlihan) Burns.

She was a member of Nativity Parish. She was a very delightful person and loved and related well with her nieces and nephews and will be deeply missed by them.

Surviving are a sister, Leona Tappe, of Clinton, Iowa; 11 nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
