EPWORTH, Iowa - Lyle J. Brown, 51, of Epworth, IA, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Unity Point Finley Hospital, in Dubuque, IA.

Friends and relatives of Lyle may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the Reiff Funeral Home in Epworth, IA. Friends may also call from 9:00 a.m. until time of service, Saturday, August 1, 2015, at Summit Congregation Church UCC, at 2885 John F. Kennedy Rd, Dubuque, IA.

Services for Lyle will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2015, at the Summit Congregation Church UCC in Dubuque, IA, with Pastor Karen Candee officiating. Burial will be held at Holy Family Cemetery in New Melleray rural Peosta, IA.

Lyle was born November 1, 1963, in Dubuque, IA, son of Paul L. and Helen (McDermott) Brown. He graduated from Western Dubuque High School, in Epworth, IA, in 1981. On May 25, 2010, he was united in marriage to Flora DeMoss in Dubuque, IA.

He is survived by his wife, Flora Brown, of Epworth, IA; three sisters, Shelia Brown, of Dubuque, IA, Sharon (Rick) Kasper, of Dubuque, IA, and Margie (Duane) Schueller, of Dubuque, IA; four brothers, Gale Brown, of Epworth, IA, Gary (Beth) Brown, of Dubuque, IA, Gerald (Holmes) Brown, of Peosta, IA, and Glen (Ronna) Brown, of Farley, IA, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister-in-law, Nancy Brown; one nephew, Corey Schueller.

The family would like to thank the Epworth EMS and the staff at Unity Point Finley Hospital in Dubuque for all of the care given to Lyle.

In lieu of flowers, a Lyle J. Brown Memorial fund has been established.
