Marie G. Brown, 89, of Sunnycrest Manor, formerly of Peosta, Iowa, died at 4:53 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, 1997, at Sunnycrest Manor.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, New Melleray, rural Peosta, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., where there will be a parish wake service at 7 p.m.

Marie worked on the family farm in Peosta until 1988, when she moved to Dubuque.

She was born on Feb. 17, 1908, in Dubuque, daughter of William and Elizabeth (Ryan) Brown.

She was a member of Holy Family Parish and its rosary society. Marie enjoyed making crafts and playing bingo. She also loved all cats.

Surviving are her sister, Eileen R. Tuegel, of Dubuque; a brother, Eldon F. Brown, of Dubuque; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mrs. Mike (Elizabeth) Martin, Margaret Vogel and Mrs. Herb (Mabel) Odefey; and two brothers, Louis and Ray Brown.

Memorials may be given to Sunnycrest Manor.
