CASCADE, Iowa -- Thomas Schwendinger, 55, of Mayer, Minn., formerly of Cascade, went to with Our Lord after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer on Friday, Dec. 3, 1999 at home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Waconia, Minn., with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Johnson Funeral home, Waconia, where there will be a vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Friends also may call after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church.

Surviving are his wife, Kathy, of Minnesota; three sons, Ron, Mark (Kristina), and Jeff (Holly), all of Minnesota; his parents, Kenneth and Rosalene, of Monticello; three brothers, Dean (Marty) of Monticello, Dave (Tammy) of Williamsburg, and Ken, of Salisbury, N. C.; and a sister, Jolene Schwendinger, of Hiawatha.
