Donald J. "Mike" Morong, 72, 1730 University Ave., died Tuesday, June 16, 1998, at home.

Private family services will be held. The Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, is in charge of arrangements.

He was born on Oct. 20, 1925, in Dubuque, son of Joseph and Anna (Nutz) Morong.

He was a World War II Army veteran, having served in Germany. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are six sisters, Annette (Ken) Holcomb, of Algona, Iowa, Ruth (Elmer) Furry, Mary Jane (Harvey) Breiner, Abby (Frank) Behnke and Helen Marburger, all of Dubuque, and Rita (LeRoy) Pulver, of Bloomfield, Iowa.

The family requests no flowers.
