Adele Mary Bahl Mireau, 89, of Friendship, Wis., formerly of Dubuque, died Sunday, April 13, 2014, at Villa Pines Living Center, Friendship.

Services will be held in Friendship. Burial will be at noon Thursday, April 17, at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Iowa.

Adele was born on July 29, 1924, in Dubuque, to Aloysius and Gertrude (Majeuis) Krayer. She married Maynard E. Mireau on Feb. 28, 1958, in Milwaukee. They owned and operated several taverns in Milwaukee for many years. Following retirement, Adele and Maynard moved to Friendship.

During the 1950s, she owned the Wagon Wheel Tavern in Dubuque.

Surviving are her husband, Maynard Mireau, of Friendship; a daughter-in-law, Jackie Bahl, of Horn Lake, Miss.; a sister, Irene Revenig, of Dubuque; three grandchildren; nieces, Judy Krayer, of Dubuque, Linda Hohmann, of Wisconsin, Diane Starla, of Harper, Iowa; a nephew, Rick Revenig, of Dubuque;

She was preceded in death by her parents, Aloysius and Gertrude Krayer; a son, Raymond Bahl; brothers, Bud, Clem and Earl Krayer; a brother-in-law, Rich Revenig; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Krayer; and first husband, Raymond Bahl.
