Louise M. (Lucy) Schmitt, died at 5:05 a.m. Sunday at Xavier. Friends may call after noon Tuesday at the Hoffmann Mortuary. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Church. The Rev. A. W. Sigwarth will officiate at the Requiem High Mass. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery

Miss Schmitt was active in church work and was a promoter of the Rosary Society and Sacred Heart League.

She was born at Dubuque daughter of Chris and Mary (Foltzer) Schmitt and lived in Dubuque all her life.

Surviving are three sister, Misses Tillie E., Lavina P. Schmitt, both at home and Sister Julia Marie of the Victory Knoll, Huntington, Ind., and nieces and nephews whom Miss Schmitt and her sister raised. Mrs. Joseph (Lucille) Locher, Mrs. John F. (Marian) Feller and Julius P. Jungk, all of Dubuque, and Walter J. Jungk of Kansas City, Mo.

The parish Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. The Rosary Society will meet at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday to recite the rosary.
