John Jess, the grocery men on First Street, died yesterday morning at 11 o’clock from heart failure, although he had been ill for sometime.

He was born in County Kerry, Ireland, and came to America many years ago.

He is survived by a wife and an adopted son. He was a cousin of Robert Jess and a man who was universally respected.
