Mrs. Al Gehl, 58, of Fillmore, Ia. died at Mercy Hospital after being ill for one week.

The body may be viewed at the family residence one mile west of Fillmore, after 4 o’clock Monday afternoon. The Gross, Till and Didesch Funeral Service is in charge. The funeral will be from the family residence Wednesday morning to Sacred Heart Church Fillmore, at a time to be announced later, and burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Mrs. Gehl was born in Whitewater Township, Dubuque County, Jan. 27, 1885, was the daughter of Bernard and Rose McKeever Ward. She was married Sept. 28, 1909, to Alfred P. Gehl, at Placid.

Survivors are her husband; Dorothy and Mary Magdalene, both at home; two sons Alfred Jr. and Fabian Gehl, also at home; four sisters, Mrs. William Graham and Mrs. Joseph Devine both of Bernard, Ia., Sr. Mary Fabian, Mount St. Clare, Clinton, Ia., and Mrs. Frank Finn, Dubuque; and one brother Peter Ward.

She was preceded in death by her parents: one son John in infancy; two bothers, John and Thomas Ward: and two sisters Miss Evelyn Ward, RN, and Mrs. Rose Bradshaw.
