M. J. (Cell) Connolly, 48, a former Dubuquer, died suddenly Saturday morning at Frankfurt, Ky., while enroute from his home in Huntington, W. Va. to Louisville, Ky.

The body will be brought to Dubuque and be taken to the Ashworth and Bennett Funeral Home. Time of the arrival and funeral arrangements will be announced later.

He was born in Dubuque, Dec. 27, 1900. On Sept 14, 1922 he was married to Margaret Coleman, a former Dubuquer. For many years he was affiliated with the General Motors Corp., and since 1945 he had been a Buick company dealer in Huntington, W. Va.

Surviving is his wife; two sons, Michael and John, all of Huntington; a sister, Mrs. J. M. Walsh of Bernard, Ia.: two aunts, Mrs. W. A. Schollian, of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Frank Smyth, of Milwaukee, Wis., and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by two children, Margaret and Maurice: his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Connolly, and a sister, Mary.
