FARLEY, Iowa -- Patricia "Pat" (Johannes) Puskas, 59, of Dover, Tenn., formerly of Farley, passed away Monday, March 15, 2010, at Henry County Memorial Hospital, Paris, Tenn.

Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 20, at Reiff Funeral Home, Farley, with the Rev. Dennis Cain officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Farley. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 19, and after 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

She was born on Aug. 8, 1950, in Dubuque, daughter of Leander and Mae (McDowell) Johannes. She graduated from Western Dubuque High School in 1968.

After high school, Pat moved to Freeport, Ill., but returned to Farley to raise her family and assist with the care of her parents. She moved to Waupun, Wis. in 1998, and became an independent owner/operator truck driver. Most recently, she had been living in Dover, Tenn., where she worked as an aide for special-needs patients, while also providing moral support for her son's family while he served with the Army in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Pat enjoyed traveling across the United States and viewing its scenery. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, going to their school events, baking cookies, and fishing with them.

Surviving are a son, Randolph "Eddie" Puskas II; a daughter, MaryAnn (Bryon) Kennicker; four grandchildren; a stepgrandson; a sister, Maryetta Pins; a brother, Robert Johannes; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her longtime companion and business partner, Gary Williams, of Waupun, Wis.
