NEW VIENNA, Iowa - Mrs. T. Earlene Pool, 67, 31488 New Vienna Road, New Vienna, died at 9:50 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, 1997, at Mercy Health Center St. Mary's Unit, Dyersville.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Farley. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home, 490 18th Ave. S.W., Dyersville, where there will be a wake service at 7 p.m.

She was born on Dec. 29, 1929, in Maquoketa, daughter of Joseph Earl and Thelma (Said) Sawdey. She married Conrad Pool on June 18, 1967, in Preston; he died Jan. 7, 1995.

She received her education in the Clinton area schools and was a member of St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville.

Earlene loved to read and do crossword puzzles. She enjoyed the simple things in life - especially spending time with her family, grandchildren, friends and her dog and cats.

Surviving are two daughters, Shanna (Daniel) Wille, of Marion, and Sheila (Ronald) Werner, of Hopkinton; three grandsons, Jonathon James Werner, Dylan Conrad Lane Werner and Hunter Wille; and a sister, Doris (Roman) Jungen, of Clinton.

She also was preceded in death by her parents.

An Earlene Pool Memorial Fund has been established.
