FARLEY, Iowa - LeRoy T. Nadermann, 64, of 505 5th St., SW, Farley, died at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, at home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Farley, with the Rev. Dennis Cain and the Rev. John Ptacek co-officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home, Farley, where there will be a wake service at 4 p.m., and where the Farley Fire Department will meet at 5:30 p.m., and the Dubuque County Fire Association will meet at 6:30 p.m.

Mr. Nadermann was employed at Simon Feed Store and later worked at Simon Fire Equipment in Farley.

He was born on May 28, 1938, in Dyersville, son of Mike and Alma (Althoff) Nadermann. On Aug. 24, 1960, he was united in marriage to Phyllis Willenbring at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Petersburg.

He received his education in the former Union School in rural Farley.

He was a 37-year member of the Farley Volunteer Fire Department, having served as chief for 30 years. He was a member of the Dubuque County Fire Association. On Sept. 17, 2002, he was inducted into the Dubuque County Firefighters Hall of Flame.

He also was a member of St. Joseph's Parish, Farley, and a member of its Altar and Rosary Society.

Surviving are his wife, Phyllis Nadermann, of Farley; five children, Lois (Tim) Cahill and Joyce (Mark) Dudley, both of Worthington, Lori (Marty) Smith, of Epworth, Mark (Donna) Nadermann, of Farley, and Kathy (Kurt) Knipper of Dyersville; 16 grandchildren; his father-in-law, Albert Willenbring, of the Good Neighbor Home, Manchester; two brothers, Eldon (Shirley) Nadermann, of Farley, and Jerry (Janet) Nadermann, of New Vienna; and a sister, Lou Ann (David) Krapfl, of New Vienna.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his mother-in-law, Anastacia Willenbring; and a brother-in-law, William Willenbring.

A LeRoy T. Nadermann Memorial Fund has been established.
