EPWORTH, Iowa - Services for Irvin H. "Hap" Meyer, 59, of Friendship Haven Health Center, Fort Dodge, formerly of 23636 Kidder Road, Epworth, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Epworth.

Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Farley. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home, Farley, where there will be aKnights of Columbus rosary at 7 p.m. and a scripture wake service 7:30 p.m.

Mr. Meyer farmed in the Epworth area.

He was born on March 10, 1937, in Farley, son of Lawrence and Hildegard (Stelken) Meyer. He died Monday evening, June 24, 1996, at the health center.

He married Carol A. Goldsmith on Aug. 18, 1962.

He received his education in Farley area schools. He was an Army veteran and a member of the Farley Knights of Columbus Council 2001 and St. Patrick's Parish, Epworth.

Surviving are his wife, Carol; two sons, Thomas (Anita) Meyer, of Buffalo, Okla., and Terrance Meyer, of South Bend, Ind.; a daughter, Barbara Meyer, of Des Moines; two grandchildren, Bridget and Zane Meyer; and a sister, Luella (Myles) Hagemann, of Welton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Joseph on Dec. 19, 1963.

An Irvin H. Meyer Memorial Fund has been established.
