Celestine G. Meyer,71, died Sunday morning, Dec. 11, 1994, in his home after a long illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial: church cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 9 tonight and 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Reiff Funeral Home, Farley, where there will be a parish rosary at 4 and Scripture wake service at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Survivors include his wife, Cathryn; a daughter, JoAnn Gibbs of Rickardsville; five sons, Bob of Independence, Mike of Hazleton, Phillip of Farley, Jim of Shenandoah and Dan of Ames; a brother, Raymond of Biloxi, Miss.; and four sisters, Carmelita Link and Luella Tekippe, both of Dubuque, Dorothy Lahey of Dyersville and Virginia Gaul of Colesburg.

Also surviving are nine grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

A Celestine G. Meyer Memorial Fund has been established.
