FARLEY, Iowa - Lloyd L. Kramer, 59, of 206 Sixth St. SE, Farley, died at 4:15 a.m. Friday, May 19, 2006, at home, surrounded by his family. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Farley, with the Rev. Dennis Cain officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Farley. Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home, Farley, where there will be a wake service at 4:30 p.m., and a Knights of Columbus rosary at 7 p.m.

Mr. Kramer was employed at Tschiggfrie and later with the Dubuque County Highway Department. He was born on June 14, 1946, in Farley, son of Leonard and Margaret (Kramer) Kramer. He married Marlene Weydert on June 5, 1971, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Peosta. He graduated from the former St. Joseph's High School in Farley. He was a member of St. Joseph's Parish in Farley, the Farley Knights of Columbus Council 2001 and the Teamster Union and Operators Union, both of Dubuque. Lloyd enjoyed woodworking and the outdoors. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Surviving are his wife, Marlene Kramer, of Farley; three children, Kurt (Danette) Kramer, of Manchester, Becky (Philip) Brown, of Farley, and Renee (Gabe) Finnin, of Dubuque; five grandchildren, Alison, Austin and Alex Brown and Grant and Zachary Kramer; four siblings, Doris (Cy) Pins, of Dyersville, Merlin (Lois) Kramer, of Dubuque, Marilyn (Dave) Kluesner, of Farley, and Sr. Margaret Ann Kramer, of Dubuque; and his mother-in-law, Delores Weydert, of Dubuque. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Ruth Dolphin; his father-in-law, Elmer Weydert; and a brother-in-law, Gary Weydert. A Lloyd Kramer Memorial Fund has been established.
