FARLEY, Iowa - Jeanette M. "Janie" Kleeman, 87, of 307 First Ave. NW, Farley, died at 4:51 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 2004, at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Farley, with the Rev. Dennis Cain officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Reiff Funeral Home, Farley, where there will be a Catholic Daughters of the Americas and parish rosary at 4:30 p.m., and a wake service at 7 p.m.

She was born on April 14, 1917, in Farley, daughter of Frank and Margaret (Noesges) Ferring. She married Joseph F. Kleeman on Oct. 15, 1947, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Farley; he preceded her in death on March 7, 1990.

She received her education in the Farley schools.

Jeanette was a member of St. Joseph's Parish, Farley, and its Altar and Rosary Society. She also was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Presentation Court 1460.

Surviving are two daughters, Mary Jo (Pete) DiBlasio, of Davenport, and Kate Kleeman, of Dubuque; a son, James (Cathy) Kleeman, of Phoenix, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Jennifer and Kristin DiBlasio and Kristen and Katie Kleeman; and a great-grandchild, Ivan.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Lorraine Kiernan and Madonna Case; and two brothers, Lionel Ferring and Don Ferring.

A Jeanette M. Kleeman Memorial Fund has been established.
