FARLEY, Iowa - Services for Mrs. Lawrence (Florence C.) Healy, 77, 203 Second Ave. S.E., Farley, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Farley.

Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home, Farley, where there will be a Catholic Daughters of the Americas and St. Joseph's Parish rosary at 3 p.m., a wake service at 4 p.m., the Farley American Legion will meet at 7:15 p.m. and the Farley American Legion Auxiliary will meet at 7:30 p.m.

Mrs. Healy was employed as a nurse at the former Xavier Hospital in Dubuque and was a physician's nurse for Dr. Faber and Dr. Stork until her retirement in 1981.

She was born on May 16, 1919, in Peosta, daughter of William Francis and Katherine (Scherrman) Griffin. She died at 1 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9, 1996, at Mercy Health Center St. Joseph's Unit, Dubuque.

She married Lawrence Healy on Jan. 29, 1944, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Farley.

She received her education in St. Joseph's School, Farley, and graduated from the Mercy School of Nursing in Dubuque. She was a member of the Farley Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Presentation Court 1460, Farley American Legion Auxiliary, Mercy Nursing Alumni Association and St. Joseph's Parish, Farley.

Surviving are her husband, Lawrence Healy, of Farley; two daughters, Anne Healy, of Cedar Rapids, and Sister Marge Healy, of Guatemala; a daughter-in-law, Shirl Healy, of Naperville, Ill.; a grandson, Jason Healy, and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Healy, both of Naperville; two sisters, Irene Tobin, of Dyersville, and Mrs. Francis (Marie) McDermott, of Dubuque; and a sister-in-law, Mary Griffin, of California.

She was preceded in death by a son, Randy Healy, on Sept. 16, 1989; her parents; and two brothers, Leo and Frank Griffin.

A memorial fund has been established for the Sisters of the Presentation in Guatemala.
