EPWORTH, Iowa -- Joseph P. Greenwood, 27, of 141 Main St., Colesburg, formerly of Epworth, died Friday, June 11, 2010, in Dyersville, due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, at Reiff Funeral Home, Epworth, with the Rev. Dennis Cain officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Farley. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 14, at the funeral home, where a private family prayer service will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

He was born on April 1, 1983, in Dubuque, son of Paul J. and Alice (Deutmeyer) Greenwood. He was a 2001 graduate of Western Dubuque High School.

He was employed at Farm Tek in Dyersville.

Joe was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He loved his dog and companion, "B.J." He also enjoyed going to Willie's Bar for dinner and spending time with his godchild, Clara.

Surviving are his parents, Paul and Alice Greenwood, of Epworth; two siblings, Melissa (Tim) Noyce, of Cuba City, Wis., and Matthew Greenwood, of Dyersville; a niece, Clara Noyce; his grandparents, Rosemary Greenwood, of Farley, and Roger (Germaine) Deutmeyer, of Dyersville; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Harold Greenwood, on May 10, 1990; and a cousin, Trace Black.
