FARLEY, Iowa -- Joyce A. Boge, 79, of 27314 Prier Road, Farley, died at 12:38 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 5, at Reiff Funeral Home, Farley, with the Rev. Dennis Cain officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Farley. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 4, at the funeral home, where there will be a wake service at 4 p.m.

She was born on March 25, 1931, in Farley, daughter of Joseph J. and Dolores (Clemen) Boge. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's High School in Farley. She attended Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids and graduated from the Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls.

Joyce taught school at St. Joseph's Elementary School in Farley and Dyersville public schools until the death of her mother in 1965, at which time she returned home to take over the household domestics.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish in Farley.

Surviving are three siblings, John "Jack" Boge, Elaine Boge and Dale Boge, all of Farley; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister-in-law, Nancy Boge, on May 28, 2009.
