Mrs. Loretta Schwendinger, 89, of Noble, Okla., formerly of Dubuque, died Saturday, December 31, 1994, at Norman, (Okla.) Regional Medical Center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Dubuque, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West, Iowa. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at Ed Siegert-Al Didesch Colonial Funeral Home, 390 North Grandview Ave., where there will be a parish wake service at 5 p.m.
Mrs. Schwendinger taught school in parochial and public schools in Dubuque. She retired from the State of Iowa School System in 1965.
She was born on September 14, 1905, in Dubuque, daughter of Charles F. and Mary Meyers. She married Leo James Schwendinger on August 20, 1930 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Dubuque; he died on December 12, 1985.
She graduated from Dubuque Senior High School and attended Clarke College and the University of Dubuque. She moved to Norman in 1986.
Surviving are two sons, Charles Joseph Schwendinger and Philip James Schwendinger of Washington, Pa.; and 3 grandchildren, David Phillip Schwendinger of Dubuque, Anna Marie Schwendinger of Ada, Ohio, and Julia Anne Wattles of Boston.
She also was preceded in death by her parents.
