DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Richard J. Albang, 68, of Dyersville, died peacefully at home Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, of natural causes.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, at St. Francis Cemetery Chapel, Dyersville, where military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 137. Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, is in charge of arrangements.

Dick was born on Nov. 30, 1944, in Dyersville, son of Lawrence and Lorraine (Osterhaus) Albang. He served his country in the Navy from 1962 to 1966, and when he returned home, he began working at Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids. He also worked at P&H Heavy Equipment Manufacturing and finally Goss Printing. He retired and moved back to Dyersville.

Surviving are two sons, Travis Albang and Scott Albang, both of Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren, Dalaina and Carter Albang; three siblings, Tony (Sandi) Albang, of Mankato, Minn., Joan Cueno, of Dyersville, and Dave (Phyl) Albang, of Oxford Junction; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter at birth; and a brother, Charles Albang.
