DYERSVILLE, Iowa - William J. Althaus, 64, of 140 Chestnut St., Springfield, Mass., formerly of Dyersville, died Friday, June 9, 2000, at the Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care, Springfield.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with burial in the church cemetery. The Reiff Funeral Home, Dyersville, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Althaus was an accountant in Springfield.

He was born on Aug. 25, 1935, in Springfield, son of William and Freida Althaus.

He was a Boston College graduate, and an Army veteran.

Surviving are several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
