WORTHINGTON, Iowa - Margaret M. Ostwinkle, 85, of Worthington, died Monday, May 10, 2004, at Mercy Medical Center- Dyersville, following a long illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul Catholic Church, Worthington, with the Rev. Douglas Loecke officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a parish scripture service at 4 p.m.

She was born on March 26, 1919, in Worthington, daughter of William and Agatha (Funke) Ostwinkle.

She lived and farmed in the Worthington area all her life. After her mother died on May 6, 1948, she kept house on the farm for her father and two brothers.

Surviving are two sisters, Dorothy (Eugene) Tobin, of Worthington, and Katherine Ludwig, of Farley; two sisters-in-law, Mary Ostwinkle, of Epworth, and Del Rose Ostwinkle, of Worthington; and many nephews and nieces.

She also was preceded in death by six brothers, Alfred, Bernard (Barney), Leo, Bill, Lester (Jack) and Ernest Ostwinkle; three sisters, Marie Turnis, Lucille Ludwig and Delores Ostwinkle in infancy; two sisters-in-law, Anna Mae (Alfred) Ostwinkle and Doris (Leo) Ostwinkle; and three brothers-in-law, Leon (Katherine) Ludwig, Urban (Lucille) Ludwig and Fred (Marie) Turnis.
