WORTHINGTON, Iowa - Lester "Jack" Ostwinkle, 72, of Worthington, died Thursday, Jan. 4, 1996, at Mercy Health Center St. Joseph's Unit, Dubuque.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Catholic Church, Worthington, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a parish scripture service at 7:30 p.m.

Mr. Ostwinkle farmed in the Worthington area all of his life.

He was born on May 3, 1923, in Worthington, son of William and Agatha (Funke) Ostwinkle.

Surviving are a brother, Barney, of Worthington; and three sisters, Margaret Ostwinkle and Dorothy (and Eugene) Tobin, both of Worthington, and Katherine Ludwig, of Farley.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Alfred, Bill, Ernest and Leo Ostwinkle; and three sisters, Delores Ostwinkle, Marie Turnis and Lucille Ludwig.
