FARLEY, Iowa - Richard J. Wolfe, 63, of Weldon, Ill., formerly of Farley, died at 12:59 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2005, at home.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Catholic Church, Clinton, Ill., with the Rev. Don Roszkowski and Rev. Mike Keating officiating. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery, Clinton. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, where there will be a rosary at 5 p.m.

Mr. Wolfe was employed at Simon Feed Store in Farley from 1960 to 1973. He owned and operated Farley Soil Service and Morley Soil Service in Iowa from 1973 to 1991. He was presently employed as an agronomist for H.G. & N. in Clinton since 1991.

He was born on June 16, 1941, in Cascade, son of Gene and Rachael () Wolfe. He married Mary Kay Simon on Nov. 12, 1960, in Farley.

He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Clinton. He was a former volunteer fireman and member of the Commercial Club in Farley. He also was a 3rd and 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Kay Wolfe, of Weldon; children, Todd (Molly) Wolfe and Tim (Missi) Wolfe, both of Clinton, and Tracey Wolfe, of Chicago; grandchildren, Rachel, Jacob, Brennen and Brock Wolfe, all of Clinton; a brother and sister, Rus (Barb) Wolfe, of Potosi, Wis., and Mary Spielmann, of Dyersville; in-laws, Norma Wolfe, of Epworth, George (Dorann) Simon Jr., Jean Ann Neyen, Anna Mae (Glen) Hardin, Donna (Joe) Daly, Lois (Paul) Rauen, Roger (Darlene) Simon and Connie Simon, all of Farley, Betty Simon, of Dubuque, Marty (Judy) Simon, of Manchester, and Sandy Simon, of Indianapolis; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jerry Wolfe; brothers-in-law, Bob Neyen and Mike Spielmann; and his father and mother-in-law, George and Mary Simon.

A Richard J. Wolfe Memorial Fund has been established.
