CASCADE, Iowa - Cyril N. Wolfe, 84, of 797 Whitewater Drive, Cascade, died at 11:05 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006, at Mercy Medical Center- Dubuque.

Private services and burial will be held. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Reiff Funeral Home, Cascade.

He was born on Sept. 20, 1922, in Worthington, son of John A. and Isabella (Stieber) Wolfe.

He married Marilyn Nordhues on Aug. 31, 1950, at St. Joseph's Prairie Church, Dubuque County. They farmed in Whitewater Township for more than 50 years.

Cyril graduated from St. Paul's School, Worthington, in 1939.

Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Wolfe, of Cascade; eight children, Charles (Anna) Wolfe, of Denison, Texas, Jill S. Wolfe, of Denver, Diane (Bob) Harris, of Dubuque, Jay Wolfe and Gina (Randy) Gadient, both of Cascade, Janelle (Will) Klostermann, of Bernard, Colleen (Tim) Crew, of West Branch, and Joan (Duane) Feltes, of Delhi; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Eldon (Ann) Wolfe, of Worthington; a sister, Joan (Ben) Loecke, of Worthington; and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, James C. Wolfe, on May 14, 2003; three sisters, Rita Marugg, Mary Wolfe and Ruth Wolfe; and a brother, Adrian Wolfe, in 1961.

The family requests no flowers.
