WORTHINGTON, Iowa - Edward G. Kroeger, 95, of Worthington, died Saturday, Aug. 1, 1998, at Shady Rest Care Center, Cascade

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Catholic Church in Worthington, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a parish scripture service at 4 p.m.

Ed farmed in the Worthington area until his retirement on March 1, 1968.

Mr. Kroeger was born Feb. 22, 1903, in Worthington, son of Stephan and Mary (Starmann) Kroeger. He married Olivia Conley, on Sept. 19, 1927; she died April 28, 1943. He later married Isabel Lyendecker on Nov. 11, 1946; she died July 5, 1991.

He was a member of the Farm Bureau and St. Paul Rosary Society.

Surviving are nieces and nephews.

He was also proceeded in death by five brothers, Henry, John, Frank, Ben and Hubert Kroeger; and two sisters, Annie Arens and Rose Bradley.
