WORTHINGTON, Iowa - Mary Enette Jurgens, 82, of Worthington, died Saturday, June 20, 1998, in Worthington.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Paul Catholic Church, Worthington, with burial in the church cemetery. The Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Jurgens was a teacher and homemaker.

She was born on March 28, 1916, in Worthington, daughter of Theodore and Helen (Mangrich) Schemmel. She married William Jurgens in June 1939.

Surviving are two daughters, Darlene (Jack) Bradt, of Chatfield, Minn., and Kay (Ron) Lawrence, of Dyersville; a daughter-in-law, Ruth Jurgens, of Worthington; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald (Marge) Schemmel, of Cedar Falls, and a sister, Ruth Matheny, of Anaheim, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William, in 1973; two sons, Kenneth Jurgens, in 1967, and Richard Jurgens, in 1988; a grandson, Steve Bradt, in 1987; two brothers, the Rev. Joseph Schemmel and Floyd Schemmel; and four sisters, Bernadette Millenkamp, Edith Schnier, Delores Schemmel and Margaret Kristufek.

Memorials may be given to St. Paul Catholic Church, Worthington.
