DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Linda Heid, 46, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Dyersville, died Tuesday, April 10, 2001, of diabetic complications at home, in Dubuque.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with the Rev. Mark Osterhaus officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Worthington. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a parish scripture service at 4 p.m.

She worked at the Ertl Co., Dyersville, for 6 years, at A.Y. McDonald Co., Dubuque, for 19 years, Hogan & Hansen PC, CPA's, Cedar Rapids, and presently, at Fisher Excavating, Cedar Rapids.

She was born on Sept. 4, 1954, in Anamosa, daughter of Raymond and Dorothy (Althoff) Heid.

She attended grade school at St. Paul School, Worthington, graduated from Beckman High School in 1972, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from the University of Dubuque in 1995. She passed her CPA exam.

She loved music, the outdoors and "do-it-yourself" home repairs.

Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Dorothy (Althoff) Heid, of Dyersville; a brother, Herbert (Elaine) Heid, of Dubuque; a nephew, Jeff Heid, of Marengo; and a niece, Laurie (Jeremy) Althoff, of Dubuque.

She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond, on Oct. 1, 1979.

A Linda Heid Memorial Fund has been established.
