Sunday, December 3, 2006 Deceased Name: Shirley A. VosbergShirley Ann Vosberg, 75, of 2955 Kaufmann Ave., apt. 331, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2006, at home, of natural causes.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Hoffmann-Schneider Funeral Home, 1640 Main St., where friends may call after 4 p.m. Mon-day. Burial services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Chapel at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Shirley retired from Flex- steel Industries and the Dubuque Community School District.
She was born on Jan. 4, 1931 in Dubuque, daughter of Valentine and Luella (Fagan) Plein. She married Vince Vosberg, Aug. 5, 1972; he preceded her in death on Oct. 23, 1998.
She was active in the grandparent program and enjoyed crafts, gardening, quilting and spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are seven children, Donald (Kathy) Merrick, of Pekin, Ill., Leon (Sue) Merrick, of Altoona, Iowa, Roseanna (Jeff) Holly, Robert Paar and Denise (Jim) Trierweiler, all of Dubuque, Francis Paar, of Waco, Texas and Jeffrey Paar, of Maquoketa, Iowa; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Marion Steitz, of Gratiot, Wis.; and two brothers, Charles and Clem Plein, both of Dubuque.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Pamela.
A Shirley Ann Vosberg Memorial has been established.
