Dr. Joseph L. Hogan Died in Missouri

DEATH OCCURRED AT HIS HOME IN OREGON, MO., MARCH TWELTH.
Had Been Ill for Several Months.-Submitted to An Operation. Burial at Oregon

Farley, Ia., March 19- The death of Dr. Joseph L. Hogan occurred at his home at Oregon, Missouri, Wednesday, March 12 after several months illness. Dr. Hogan had spent the past month in Farley at the home of his mother, Mrs. Dan Hogan thinking a rest and vacation from his professional duties would be of benefit to him. After returning to his home two weeks ago he went to St.Joseph, Missouri, where he submitted to an operation, which was thought to be successful, however death occurred several days later. Deceased was a son of the late Daniel and Lizzie Hogan of this place, born on the homestead four miles southwest of town thirty-five years ago. After completing the course at the local High School he entered a medical college at St. Joseph Missouri, where he graduated with highest honors. Soon after graduation he began practicing at Oregon, Mo. Several years ago he was united in marriage to Miss Bonnie Greene at that place. Dr. Hogan was an energetic and progressive young man, a prominent physician, with every prospect of a promising future before him and his untimely death is the occasion of deep regret to a wide circle of friends and associates to his boyhood days, who live in this vicinity. Besides his wife he is survived by his mother of this place and the following brother and sisters, John and Dan Hogan of Farley, Dr. Frank Hogan, Bigelow, Mo., Lieu. Leo Hogan stationed at Camp Jackson, S.C., Mrs Herman Klein, Eckelson, N.D., Mrs Eugene Stroh, Eckelson, N.D., Missed Cedelia and Gertrude at home. Mrs. D. Hogan, mother of the deceased and her two sons Messrs. John and Dan departed Thursday for Oregon, Mo., to attend to obsequies, which were held at that place.
