Services for Loras H. Stoll, 74, 814 4th St. S.W., Cascade, will be at 11 am Thursday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Temple Hill, rural Cascade. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Cascade.

Mr. Stoll farmed in the Temple Hill area until his retirement in 1980.

He was born on July 13, 1919, in Worthington, son of Alphonse and Loretta (Schneier) Stoll. He died Sunday afternoon, Jan. 30, 1994 at Mercy Health Center St. Joseph's Unit, Dubuque.

He married Dola Till on Feb. 14, 1944 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Farley, she survives.

He received his education in the Monticello area schools. He was a member of the Cascade Sportsmen's Club, Pheasants Forever, Knights of Columbus Council 930 of Cascade, 4th Degree Dubourg Assembly Council 1573 and St. Peter's Catholic Church. He was a wonderful husband, dad and grandpa. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, golfing, bowling, and playing cards, watching the Cubs and Hawkeyes, the love of God and playing ball with his family. He and his wife would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Feb. 14.

Also surviving are eight sons, Pat (and Jeanne) Stoll, of Downey, Calif., Jim (and Kim) Stoll, of Camanche, Ed (and Margie) Stoll, of Bernard, Tom (and Evelyn), Robert (and Linda), Alan and Jeff Stoll, all of Cascade, and John Stoll of the Virgin Islands; four daughters, Mrs. John (Jane) Steger, of Camanche, Mrs. Dale (Lois) Andrews, of Cascade, Mrs. Tom (Julie) Wieler, of Dubuque, and Mrs. Brian (Ruth) Jacque, of Dyersville; 26 grandchildren; three brothers, Justin Stoll of Cedar Rapids, and Louie and Andy Stoll, both of Anamosa; and a sister, Marion Rickles, of Anamosa.

A Loras H. Stoll Memorial Fund has been established.
