Bernard, Iowa

Wendel H. Ambrosy, 65, of Bernard died at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, 1988 at Mercy Health Center St. Joseph's Unit, Dubuque.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Church, Fillmore, with burial in the church cemetery.

Mr. Ambrosy farmed in the Bernard area for the last 28 years.

He was born April 22, 1923, in St. Donatus, son of Peter and Mary (Heiar) Ambrosy. He married Callista Pfab Feb. 14, 1950 at Sacred Heart Church.

Surviving besides his wife are three sons, Loras and Leonard both of Bernard, and Martin of Dubuque; two daughters, Mrs. Patrick (Darlene) Koob of Delmar and Mrs. Gale (Karen) Kleppe of Denison; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Alfred of Dubuque and Lester of Bernard; and three sisters, Mrs. Louis (Sylvia) Kress of Dubuque, Mrs. Carl (Olivia) Ernst of Bellevue and Mrs. Fabian (Lucille) Duster of Rickardsville.

A Wendel H. Ambrosy Memoria Fund has been established.
