Laura Lund Nowlin, 99, of Luther Manor, died Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at Luther Manor.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 21, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1755 Delhi Street, where friends may call from noon to 1:45 p.m. Burial will be in Center Grove Cemetery. The Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 2659 Kennedy Road, is in charge of arrangements.

She was born on Jan. 7, 1911, in Dubuque, daughter of John and Clara (Taschner) Lund. She graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 1929.

She married Bertram Nowlin on May 7, 1938; he preceded her in death on Aug. 20, 1972.

Laura was a charter member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Joyce A. Clark, of St. Louis; a son, John B. (Georgina) Nowlin, of St. Charles, Mo.; six grandchildren, Geoffrey (Mia) Nowlin, Todd Nowlin, Mary Ellen Alexander, Mary Nicole Alexander, Quinton Clark and Dwight Clark; four great-grandchildren, Thomas and Laura Nowlin and Anastasia and Saed McGee; a great-great-grandson, Julien McGee; three nieces, Sara (Philip) Kinzer, Anne (William) Stewart and Jackie (Dan) Williamson; and several great-nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by a brother, Donald J. Lund; two sisters, Mildred L. Stiles and Genevieve L. Rodefeld; and a niece, Barbara Stewart.
