Deceased Name: KENNETH L. KOEHLER

Kenneth L. Koehler, 65, of Forsyth, Ill., formerly of Dubuque, died at 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 1997, at home.

Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at Brintlinger's Funeral Home, Decatur, Ill., where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery, Decatur.

Mr. Koehler was retired from Neal Tire and Battery.

He was born on June 4, 1931, in Seldon, Kan., son of Fred and Alma (Chapman) Koehler. He married Mildred Anstoetter on Feb. 5, 1960, in Farley, Iowa.

He earned his bachelor of science degree from the University of Dubuque. He was a member of Forsyth United Methodist Church, American Legion, Masonic Lodge 3, of Dubuque, Iowa Consistory, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Ansar Shrine, Springfield, Ill., and Ansar Shrine Dune Buggies; a past monarch of Oxus Grotto, Dubuque; and past exalted ruler and current trustee of Decatur Elks 401. He was a Korean War veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Mildred; children, Dennis Koehler, of Decatur, Kim (Doug) Cousin, of Grant Park, Ill., Keith (Debra) Koehler, of Kankakee, Ill., and John (Jill) Koehler, of St. Charles, Mo.; grandchildren, Elizabeth Cousin, Nathon, Nicole, Ashley and Julia Koehler, Michelle and Andy Mueller and Grant and Jackson Koehler; two brothers, Fred (Vera) Koehler, of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Karen "Butch" (Betty) Koehler, of Albuquerque, N.M.; two sisters, Glenalee Funk and Shirley Washburn, both of Dubuque; and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Koehler, of Dubuque.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ted Koehler; and a sister, Enid Smith.

Memorials may be given to the Illinois Elks Crippled Children's Corp., Chatham, Ill., and the Shriner's Hospital for Children, St. Louis.
