Services for Marie L. Weydert, 83, 19727 Pilot Grove Road, Peosta, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Dubuque.

Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Centralia. (rest of paragraph omitted)

Mrs. Weydert and her husband farmed in the Peosta area for many years.

She was born on March 29, 1910, in Peosta, daughter of John J. and Caroline (Schmitt) Breitbach. She died at 12:05 a.m. Monday, June 28, 1993, at Mercy Health Center St. Joseph's Unit, Dubuque.

She married Harold J. Weydert on Sept. 14, 1938, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Peosta; he survives.

She graduated from the former St. John's High School, Peosta, and was a member of St. Joseph's Rosary Society and the United Commercial Travelers.

Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Barbara Lambert, of Helena, Mont., and Carolyn Weydert and Mrs. Kathy Luckritz, both of Dubuque; four sons, Ronald Weydert, of Kansas City, Mo., Gerry and Roger Weydert, both of Dubuque, and Richard Weydert, of Peosta; eight grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Leona Ragatz, of Guttenberg, and Viola Weydert, of Dubuque; and a brother, Arnold Breitbach, of Scottsdale, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ann Marie Weydert, on Dec. 19, 1950.
