Mrs. Emmett Maiers

Mrs. Emmett (Mabel) Maiers, 50, of Holy Cross, Iowa was dead on arrival at 9:15 p.m. Monday at Xavier Hospital, Dubuque.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 10 p.m. Wednesday at Behr's, where the Scripture Wake Service will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Mrs. Maiers was born at Balltown, Iowa, and was a member of Holy Cross Rosary Society.

Surviving besides her husband are three daughters, Mrs. Terry (Jeanne) Cummer of Epworth, Iowa, Kathy Maiers, a student at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, and Nancy Maiers at home; three sons, Terry J. of Dubuque, Ted M. and Brian M., both at home, one granddaughter; three sisters, Mrs. Wilfred (Lillian) Brimeyer and Mrs. Roy (Viola) Pfeiler, both of Dubuque, and Mrs. Al (Eileen) Heiderscheit of Holy Cross, and a brother, Fred Klein of Dubuque.
