Adolph Julius Gansemer

Adolph Julius Gansemer, 77, of 830 Davis Ave., formerly of Holy Cross, Iowa, died at 8 a.m. Monday, May 26, 1986 at St. Joseph's Unit of Mercy Health Center.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Ghost Church, with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Behr Funeral Home, where the parish wake service will be said at 6:30 p.m. and members of Holy Cross Court 881 are asked to meet at 8 p.m. Tuesday to say the rosary.

Mr. Gansemer, who was born in Balltown, Iowa, was a retired farmer. He was a member of Holy Ghost Parish; Holy Ghost Rosary Society; Holy Cross Court 881, Catholic Order of Foresters; Active Senior Citizens; Holy Ghost Senior Citizens; Sageville Senior Citizens, and the Happy Hour Senior Citizens.

Surviving are his wife, the former Marie Rosetta Hefel; three daughters, Mrs. Marvin (Joan Marie) Lukan of Santa Cruz, Calif.; Mrs. Philip (Rose Ann) Breitbach of Dubuque, and Mrs. Daniel (Helen Mary) Wolf of Bankston, Iowa; two sons, Matthew John and Edward Raymond, both of Dubuque; 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Edward (Frances) Meyer of Dubuque.

Memorials may be given to Holy Ghost School and Stonehill Care Center.
