Worthington

Edgar J. Engler, 54, Worthington, died at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday at Mercy Hospital in Dubuque. He was ill for a month.

Friends may call at the Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville from where services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday to St. Paul's Church in Worthington. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Engler was born July 31, 1901 in Worthington. He was educated in Worthington and became a stock buyer. He married Grace Kramer on 1 Oct 1923 in Dyersville. He was a member of St. Paul's Church and of its Rosary Society.

Surviving are his wife; his father P. A. Engler, Worthington; three daughters, Sister M. Edgar, OSF, Crescent City, Calif., Mrs. Paul (Mary Jane) Beitzel, Dubuque, and Mrs. Dave (Ann) Green, Iowa City, Ia.; two sons, John, Atlantic, Ia., and David, Worthington, and one brother LaVerne Engler, Worthington.
