Corrine J. Boal, 75, of Stonehill Care Center, formerly of Ecumenical Towers and 2274 Washington St., died at 3:40 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, at the center.

Chapel services will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., where friends may call after 10 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Dubuque Memorial Gardens, south of Dubuque.

She was born on Nov. 3, 1928, in Dubuque, daughter of Elmer and Mary "Edna" (Johns) Boal.

Corrine enjoyed listening to music and going to dances. She cared for her canaries and liked watching the birds outside. She was very devoted to her family and friends. She spent happy hours on the phone and visiting with everyone.

Surviving are a sister, M. Darlene Goffinet, of Dubuque; a brother, Donald E. (Dagmar) Boal, of Dubuque; and eight nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of flowers, a Corrine J. Boal Memorial Fund has been established.

The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of Stonehill Care Center for the loving care and concern they gave to Corrine.
