Danny G. Klossner, 65, of Maquoketa, Iowa, formerly of Dubuque, died Saturday morning, Dec. 20, 2003, at Crestridge Nursing Home, Maquoketa.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Carson & Son Funeral and Cremation Services, Maquoketa, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Bridgeport Cemetery, rural Maquoketa.
Mr. Klossner worked as a water operator for the city of Maquoketa for 14 years. He then worked for People's Service in Maquoketa in the same capacity for three years.
He was born on Aug. 20, 1938, in Dubuque, son of Alfred E. Klossner and Madge (Hall) Klossner. He was raised by his loving stepfather, Roland Hall.
He was a 1957 graduate of Dubuque Senior High School. He married Jean L. Ostrander on May 21, 1960, in Dubuque.
He loved deer hunting, bowling, cards and the love of his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife, Jean Klossner, of Maquoketa; his children, Roland (Barb) Klossner, of Delmar, Iowa, Carrie (Mrs. Wayne) Anderson, of Dallas, Merle (Orkie) Klossner and Penny (Mrs. Joe) Sabin, both of Maquoketa, and Madge (Mrs. Kevin) Fuglsang and James (Melissa) Klossner, both of Dubuque; 11 grandchildren and two step granddaughters; and a brother, Jerry (Barb) Klossner, of Dubuque.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Madge and Roland Hall; and three brothers, Alfred, Duane and Richard.
A Danny G. Klossner Memorial Fund has been established.
