Robert C. Kluesner, 51, of 424 W. Locust St., Dubuque, formerly of Farley, Iowa, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003, at home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Reiff Funeral Home, Farley. Private family visitation will be held at the funeral home.

He was born on Sept. 10, 1952, in Dubuque, son of James and Ramona (Breitbach) Kluesner.

He graduated from the former St. Joseph's High School in Farley. He also graduated from Loras College, Dubuque.

He served as a captain in the Army from 1974 to 1988.

Surviving are his parents, James and Carol Kluesner, of Farley; nine sisters, Elizabeth (Richard) Duncan and Patricia Kluesner, both of San Antonio, Texas, Karen Kluesner, of Madison, Wis., Jackie (Scott) Bamberg, of Epworth, Iowa, Becky (Kevin) Bergfeld, of Peosta, Iowa, Kim (Doug) Harkey, of Dubuque, Jodi (Ben) Simon and Shannon Kluesner, both of Farley, and Kizzy Gaul, of Clive, Iowa; four brothers, David (Tammy) Kluesner, of Farley, Mike (Marce) Kluesner, of Anchorage, Alaska, James (Lynn) Kluesner, of Nevada, Iowa, and Todd (Laura) Kluesner, of Epworth; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ramona Kluesner, on Nov. 17, 1961; a brother, Gerald "Jerry" Kluesner; a niece, Christan Kluesner; and his grandparents, Alver and Ardella Kluesner and William and Agnes Breitbach.

A Robert C. Kluesner Memorial Fund has been established.
